Hey there, it’s me, Laura.   Thank you for checking out Spine Care Fitness!  Over the years as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, specializing in sports medicine, I have developed a lot of great techniques and exercises for people to fix their bodies, improve their performance and prevent injury.

I know that back and body pain can come in all shapes and sizes, and it never waits for you to have time to go to the clinic.  A lot of my patients had been in and out of other chiropractic offices and physical therapy clinics for years and they just weren’t taught how to fix their bodies, until I took the time to show them how they could do it on their own.

I have come to realize that most people suffering with back and body pain just need to know how to fix themselves.  They shouldn’t have to depend on a doctor or a chiropractor or even a physical therapist for relief.  It is this very realization that had me create this website and a home study course with videos and exercises to help you conquer your back and body pain and live a healthy, active and pain free life.

This website has tons of great information and it’s absolutely free.  Consider it my way of saying, “Thank you for being a member of our community.”  All you have to do is put in your name and e-mail address to subscribe, and you will start getting my by-request posts.  And just in case you are worried about your e-mail being circulated, I promise I will never sell or spam your e-mail address.  So, with that said, subscribe to this website and you’ll get all the current posts automatically!

You should also check out my podcast!  You can find it on iTunes & YouTube:

Thank you again and I hope you enjoy them!

Hi jpengnyc,
Thank you so much for your comment on how much you are learning from the videos! That is great news. As far as the newsletter, so far I’ve been putting up posts based on individual requests from fellow viewers as opposed to a regular newsletter.
Any requests? Please let me know what you want to learn about. That is what I’m here for!
Thanks again for your comment.

Great website, I hurt my neck c6,7,8 I think while starting to swim freestyle again. I have not been swimming freestyle at distance (1 mile every other day) for over 30 years; I goggled the problem and found that my mechanics are all wrong as I twisted my neck to breath instead of turning my body. It’s getting better now but when I scuba dive (2 times a week) my neck hurts cause I dive horizontally, any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi Tom,
So glad you found us!
Yep, life beats us up, especially if we are using less-than-optimum mechanics. The good thing is that our body is very forgiving and will repair if we start doing the right things.
You already started by changing/improving your technique. All you have to add is the body tune-up techniques seen on the videos and you’ll restore your dynamic efficiency to resume your activities and prevent breakdown. Remember, the neck is connected to the rest of your spine so do ‘em all!

Since you are a swimmer/scuba diver, do the techniques in the videos in a horizontal position to simulate your sport. Do one set on your back then one set on your stomach, finish with prone press up-downs and you will be good to go ;-)

Take care,
Laura and Dave

Sounds AWESME!! Both my husband and I dive and are always looking for scuba trip vacations! Our last dive adventure was a week in Cozumel – we saw a school of spotted eagle rays!!
Send us your link and we’ll look you up. Let us know if you have any other issues or questions ;-)
Take care,
Laura
